Standing at 6-foot-9, 2027 wing William Bond continues to establish himself as one of Quebec’s biggest stock risers heading into what projects to be a breakout senior campaign with the Cégep de Sherbrooke Volontaires. After a strong season alongside the reigning RSEQ MVP, Bond has steadily elevated his game and is beginning to attract the attention of university and NCAA programs alike.
What immediately stands out is his versatility. Bond is a true three-level scorer who can impact the game in multiple ways. He possesses a smooth perimeter stroke that forces defenders to respect him beyond the arc, while his fluid ball handling allows him to attack hard closeouts with confidence. At his size, his ability to put the ball on the floor, create space, and finish with touch around the rim gives him intriguing long-term upside.
As his frame continues to mature, Bond’s ceiling becomes even more exciting. Continued physical development, along with expanding his shot creation and off-the-dribble playmaking, could allow him to comfortably play anywhere from the two through the four at the U SPORTS or NCAA level. That positional versatility is becoming increasingly valuable in today’s game, and Bond has all the tools to fit the modern style of basketball.
His development has been on full display this summer with QC Select, one of Canada’s premier AAU programs. The Quebec-based squad, loaded with high-level talent and elite coaching, is the province’s lone representative competing on the Under Armour Rise circuit. After an impressive run, QC Select has earned a berth in the UA Rise Finals in Kentucky, providing Bond another opportunity to showcase his game against top competition from across North America.
Following another standout performance, Bond has also earned an invitation to the prestigious NBA Academy Games in Atlanta, Georgia. The event will place him in front of college coaches, NBA Academy personnel, and professional scouts, marking another significant milestone in his development.
With his combination of size, skill, and positional versatility, William Bond is quickly becoming a name that college programs should have firmly on their recruiting boards. If his trajectory continues at its current pace, expect his recruitment to accelerate as he enters his senior season.
