Munroop Gill 6”0 guard 2024/25 out of Surrey BC, has led his Lord Tweedsmuir Panthers to the number 4 ranked team in the province after winning the RCMP Classic Championships.
The RCMP Classic is one of the biggest tournaments of the year in BC, organizers had to turn away over 500 fans as the gym was already far above capacity. In the last week Munroop scored 46 points in the semi finals, 44 points in the championship game, and 55 in a league game against Kwantlen Park.
What makes Gill so special isnt his ability to score the ball, but rather lead his team by example and get his teammates involved. Gill’s game starts on the defensive end proving to be a matchup nightmare for most guards having 5 steals in the semis and 7 steals in the finals.
Munroop has played at the senior level since his sophomore year where he started for the team and helped them in a playoff push. Playing up is nothing new to Gill as he grew up the youngest in a household of 4 brothers. Munroop Gill is a true two-way guard who effects winning at a highlevel. The kid has true character, is a delight to have around the campus and a leader in the locker room.
