Ay Olugbenga already looks like a matchup nightmare in the making: a true 6'5" frame running the guard spot is the kind of problem Manitoba backcourts don't see twice in one season. The Winnipeg product reps Faith Academy and has already banked a Team Manitoba 15u selection, a sign the provincial staff likes the tools even this early. At that size in the backcourt, the calling card tends to be length and vision over the top of defenses -- the kind of frame that projects to guard multiple positions and see the floor a possession ahead of shorter guards. It's still 15U basketball, so the file is short and the swing skills -- shooting consistency and pace with the ball -- are what to track as he moves up the Manitoba pipeline. Big guards who keep their guard skills as they fill out tend to draw attention fast, and Olugbenga's frame alone should keep eyes on him through the U16/U17 levels.
