Demetrius Woodard left Ontario for Pennsylvania prep ball, and the early returns say he's built for it. The 6'3 combo guard out of Alliston plays his high school ball at The Phelps School, a program that doesn't hand minutes to guards who can't create their own offense. Woodard's game lives in the mid-range and around the rim, a shifty handle setting up defenders before he attacks downhill with two-way finishing ability. He's part of the UPlay Canada pipeline, a club that's put plenty of Canadians on American prep radars before him. The Class of 2028 combo guard still has technical rounding to do, but the foundation — size, handle, downhill instinct — is the kind colleges circle back to.
