Every basketball staff in a province runs the same math when picking a provincial-team point guard: trust the kid who already handles it under pressure, not the one with the gaudiest AAU line. Dominic Loehle is on Team British Columbia's 17u roster because he passed that test. The Loyola High School lead guard runs the point at 6'0" for West Coast Elite, and provincial staffs don't hand a 17u jersey to a guard who can't organize a possession against the best competition his own province has to offer. There's no stat line or highlight tape on file yet to lean on, so this evaluation rests on the selection itself -- a real, external vote of confidence from people paid to separate true point guards from good athletes playing the position. Call him a floor general with real institutional trust behind him already, a 2027 lead guard worth tracking closely as more tape surfaces.
