Jane Finch doesn't hand out 14u MVP hardware for participation trophies, and Kaleb Banfield's already stacked a Team Ontario U17 look on top of it before most of his class has a real highlight reel. The 6'5 guard runs with Canada Elite's 15u UAA group out of Bella Vista, and that size-at-the-point profile is exactly the kind of thing that gets a provincial staff to take notice early -- length on the perimeter is a premium commodity, and Banfield's building his resume around it. Two separate validations, an MVP and a national-team-track selection, in the same file is a real signal, even before deeper film closes the gap on skill level. TMM has him projected four-leaf for now -- D2/U Sports buzz -- but a guard with this frame and this early a program buy-in is worth a second look once the tape catches up to the resume.
