Kasen Arcus is the answer key for a Raymond team that's still writing the test. The 5'10 senior guard out of Raymond, Alberta enters his final high school season as the most experienced piece on a Comets roster adjusting to first-year head coach Logan Mendenhall. The scouting take on him in the Prairie Sky Conference is simple: downhill, aggressive, allergic to standing still. That mileage is why the keys are his -- Raymond is counting on Arcus to be both its lead scorer and its loudest voice while a young group learns the varsity pace in southern Alberta. Nothing here is signed, sealed and delivered with a new staff finding its footing, but if Arcus's attack-first motor plays the way it's billed, the Comets have themselves a guard capable of keeping every night competitive.
