Malakai Boville is already collecting hardware, and he's not even in senior varsity yet — a 2029 guard out of Winnipeg who took home MVP honors in the U17 Boys Gold Division at the Prairie Season Opener, a tournament stacked with players years older than him. That's the kind of result that gets a name circulating early. Boville reps Ignite Canada and John Taylor, and the early returns suggest a guard who's comfortable playing up. Plenty of runway left in the development curve, but the MVP trophy against older competition is a real data point, not hype. Manitoba basketball has a name to watch.
