Not many high-major circuits run through the Northwest Territories, but Zach Mathison is doing his best to put one on the map. The 6'1 guard out of Edge Prep suits up for Genesis 16u on the EYCL circuit, a legitimate stage for a Class of 2028 prospect who's already logged time with the NWT Provincial Team. Guards from the territories don't get the same rep count as their Ontario or BC counterparts, which makes every look on a bigger platform carry more weight -- and Mathison's been banking them early. The frame's still filling out and the offer sheet is empty for now, but the early three-leaf read is fair: a floor game worth checking back in on as the competition levels climb over the next two seasons.
