The Maple Minute NCAA Student Athlete Academic Success Tips

To kickstart your journey, consider the following tips:
1. Register Early: Don't wait until your final year; register with the NCAA Eligibility Center as early as Grade 9 or 10.
2. Academic Review: Familiarize yourself with both college admissions and NCAA eligibility requirements.
3. International Guide: Review the International Guide to ensure you're on track to complete the 16 core course credits required for NCAA eligibility.
4. Approved Core Courses: Check the approved NCAA core course list for your province in Canada, as each province has its own list of courses approved for NCAA eligibility.
NCAA Initial Eligibility vs. University Admission

It's crucial to distinguish between NCAA initial eligibility and university admissions processes. Each college has its unique admission requirements, so don't forget to send your transcripts and SAT or ACT scores to both the NCAA Eligibility Center and the respective college admissions offices.
