The 6'6 Scarborough native brings size, a confident edge and above-the-rim athleticism that already stand out at the prep level.

Prosper Imafidon šŸšŸšŸšŸ (2029), 6'6 wing, Scarborough, ON.

Imafidon is a 6'6" wing who attacks the rim with force and finishes above it, and as a 2029, he's already competing at the prep level. He handles the ball at a solid level for his size, which lets him attack off the bounce instead of only finishing plays others create, and he plays with a confident, aggressive edge. The swing skill is his jumper: he needs to become a reliable catch-and-shoot threat and add a one-dribble pull-up so defenses can't sag off and wall up the paint. He also needs to keep developing as a playmaker on baseline and middle drives, reading the help and creating for teammates. If the shot and passing keep progressing, he projects as a high-level NCAA D2 or D1 prospect, with U SPORTS as a very strong floor.

Prospect Snapshot: šŸšŸšŸšŸ NCAA D2 / U SPORTS

Class: 2029 | Position: Wing | Height: 6'6"

School: Green Forest School | Program: UPLAY (prep) | Hometown: Scarborough, ON

An Attacker First

Imafidon's game starts at the rim. He gets downhill with purpose, uses his size and burst to get past his defender, and finishes through contact or over the top of it. He's a vertical threat in the half court and in transition, and defenders have to commit early to stopping him at the basket.

What separates him from a typical athletic wing is his handle. He's comfortable putting the ball on the floor and creating his own drive, which makes him more than a finisher waiting for someone else to set him up. Pair that with his confidence and you get a player who wants the ball in big moments and isn't afraid to take on whoever is guarding him.

Where He Needs to Grow

The jumper will decide his ceiling. Right now, defenses can afford to give him space and load up the paint. Becoming a dependable catch-and-shoot option would force hard closeouts, and those closeouts are exactly what he wants to attack. A reliable one-dribble pull-up would give him an answer when the lane is walled off.

His playmaking is the other piece. Because he draws so much attention when he attacks, learning to read the help on baseline and middle drives, and to find shooters and bigs, would turn his scoring pressure into offence for his whole team.

Projected Scheme Fit

Offence

His best fit is a drive-and-kick or 5-out system where he catches on the move and attacks closeouts. Up-tempo, transition-heavy teams would get the most out of his size, handle and finishing in the open floor. Dribble handoffs and attack-the-catch actions suit him, and in small-ball lineups, his size could let him slide to the 4 as a screener who short-rolls or dives. Until the jumper is consistent, he's a weaker fit for systems that ask wings to space the floor as stationary shooters.

Defence

At 6'6" with his athleticism, he projects as a switchable wing who could guard 2 through 4 in switching schemes, with upside as a weak-side help and rim-contest defender.

Tier: šŸšŸšŸšŸ (NCAA D2 / U SPORTS)

His size, above-the-rim finishing, solid handle and production at the prep level as an underaged player make him a legitimate post-secondary prospect, and a reliable jumper is what would push him into the šŸšŸšŸšŸšŸ range. As a 2029, he has plenty of runway, and he's a name to keep tracking.
