5 Immediate London, Ontario Prospects to Watch

Call me biased, but London, Ontario does not get the respect it deserves. Toronto and Kitchener are still representatives of Canada while London continues to creep up quietly. Everyone knows Shaedon Sharpe, London’s best product. But Will Riley from the Washington Wizards actually grew up more in London, Ontario than people think. Will Riley attended Southwest Academy Prep, located in London, Ontario, where his first development had started. That is two elite-scoring prospects at the professional level from the city of London. Some small context: Only five Canadians averaged 20 points per game; Shaedon was one (20.8). Only three Canadians averaged 20 points per game in the G League; Will Riley was one, and led (26.8). We got ballers.

Finn Pritchard - New Era Point Guard

6'6 point guards are the new era of basketball. Finn fits right into the tall point guard system with his two-way impact. Averaging 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists per game for the highly respected CTA, demonstrating an all-around presence with skill and size. Particularly, his 7 assists demonstrate a will to pass and create opportunities for his teammates. Finn at 6'6 creates mismatches offensively, punishing smaller guards with lights-out shooting. At the same time, a punisher on defense, as attacking is hopeless with his length. Finn is quietly becoming one of the highest-valued athletes in Canada.

Continue to watch his playmaking development. Can he hold up against higher levels of defensive pressures? Would he be able to command a full squad? These will help determine just how much Finn has given into the new era of basketball.

Aduot Kuol - Good Luck

Don’t think there is anyone in Ontario who could stay in front of Aduot right now. At 6'2 and growing, Aduot has been a productive machine. He has already secured Mr. Basketball, the highest individual basketball award in the city. Why? Because he averaged 28 points per game in high school and nobody talked about it. Did you know he is currently a top 8 scorer in the National Capital Hoops Circuit? Bet you did not know that either. By far, Aduot has developed a competitive skill set at the highest levels. Watch as he beats defenders, reads the defense, and makes the right decisions when opportunity creates itself. He continues to receive interest from schools such as CTA, Lincoln, and Springdale Prep.

Continue to watch his scoring. Can he maintain at a prep or university level? Would he be willing to sacrifice some of his scoring to better impact the decision of the game? Find out; watch him close because you might get lost in all the buckets.

Micah Kaniki - Basketball is Easy

At 6'5, with size and athleticism, and an efficient game, Micah has quickly become an EYBL standout. His physical tools complement his basketball intelligence, with his ability to score at an efficient rate showcasing professional touch and decision-making ability. This is a player who can use his physical gifts without forcing difficult attempts (hard to find, I know). Micah is an All-Star in every way, including National Junior Circuit First-Team, Jane & Fitch Classic First-Team, just to name a few. Now attending Westtown Basketball, Micah has an opportunity to continue developing at higher levels. Let me remind you, he is only a 2029 class, with plenty of time to train on levels of impact.

Continue to watch how his fundamentals translate. Can he find different ways to impact the game if size is not an option? Westtown will be a great opportunity to showcase his efficiency, skills and athleticism at that next level.

Yannis Lugogo - Put the Hard Hat on When You See Him, Going to be a Long Day

You don’t see many championship-caliber players like Yannis. An all-around skill set that is always demonstrated at the highest levels when winning matters most, including OFSAA & WOSSAA gold, while dominating the National Senior Circuit with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists per game. Yannis comes with strong on-court awareness, allowing him to be disciplined offensively using his size, or disruptive defensively with his speed. This combination provides options for coaches to use Yannis in different approaches to win a game. This discipline on both ends is the most important value in evaluating Yannis at the next levels. Yannis continues to develop a strong resume, whose impact is ready for any championship-level team.

Continue to watch his development. Still only a 2029 class. Could he succeed as an undersized 6-foot guard? It will take some hard work, but Yannis is proven.

Peace Tshibasu - Silent Assassin

Peace is the most poised. A champion and All-Star selection, there is no pressure for Peace. 6'1 with a 6'5 wingspan, he is gifted offensively and defensively. At the senior level, Peace has produced 20 points per game, 50% from the field, and 40% from 3 in the Senior Circuit. That’s poise. Consistently punishing on open shots not only impacts personal development, but also drives adjustments from opposing teams. A CYBL All-Star, CNIT Top Prospect, and National Junior Circuit Third Team All-Star honours. Now that's real poise. A 2029 class with much more to give. Peace demands some respect. With so much more room to grow, Peace is a competitive guard whose impact continues to command attention.

Continue to watch his development. Still only a 2029 class. Could he become a two-way superstar when needed in those pressured moments? As poised as he is, stay tuned.
